Thabisile Dlamini is an experienced voiceover artist, a copywriter, an author, a singer, songwriter & music composer.

Her voiceover portfolio spans radio dramas, commercials, public service announcements, radio and television promos, corporate videos and podcasts.

She brings a deliberate, editorial ear to every read: clear enough for the brief, warm enough for the audience, and precise enough for the moment.

Thabisile also has experience as a stage actor. After two years of training at the South African State Theatre in 2011-2012 with YIT, she appeared in a musical as part of the Rain Of Art festival at the State Theatre.

At only age 20, and still a 2nd-year media student, she already had her byline in a national youth magazine. She worked as part of an editorial team, then began producing radio content for youth-focused broadcast audiences.

That training across print, performance and production now informs the way she builds stories: voice first, but always with structure, audience and intention in mind.

2009 was a giant leap into digital media. Together with a New Media Consultant from New York City, Thabisile produced a first in South Africa: a youth mobile social network dedicated to social change.

That same year she worked with the HIV & Aids Media Project, the journalism department at the University of Witwatersrand and the Perinatal HIV Research Unit, writing a series of articles on Fatherhood and Aids. The work went beyond her personal story and was later published internationally.

From 2022 to 2024, Thabisile spent three years as a copywriter on the internal communications team of a major South African bank, writing leadership messages, culture and change campaigns, and employee engagement content for a regulated, high-stakes environment.

Thabisile currently writes for the Fundza Literacy Trust, a Cape Town based organisation dedicated to encouraging a culture of reading in young South Africans. Her short stories are published on the Fundza mobile app, a platform committed to delivering good literature to young people who would otherwise not have access to it.

The stories address social ills and the issues young people face, and are written not only to entertain but to educate, guide and expand young minds.

She is currently working on her debut album: a contemporary sound built on pop sensibility and classical piano, carried by her mezzo-alto vocals. It promises a special work of art focused on healing the emotional body.

Thabisile is a vibrant young woman with special gifts and a character that promises to keep her where her gifts will lead. Clients who book her are often struck by how well she takes direction and how articulate she is in both English and isiZulu.

Her writing experience makes her very good at interpreting scripts in the booth. She is a storyteller, and that through-line connects her many gifts.

"You don't need less interests. You need a through-line."
